The nice thing about Yates being a teacher is that some of his students will take us out. If it wasn't for some of these outings, we really wouldn't see or know much about kunming.Here, a student and her fiance took us to the new kunming zoo.

May 1 is Labour Day in China. In the states, we only get one day off, but here it is one of the bigger holidays so the schools get a week off. Here, Samantha is with a friend who took us to a park for the holidays.
I like this picture because this is one of the rare times that we have captured Gracie's natural smile on camera. She doesn't know how to pose for the camera, so many times all we get is a fake pasty smile.
This is common in our household - Grace looking at Samantha strangely while Samantha is goofing off. The little boy in the picture is the son of our helper.
